Camille and Scooby

Ah, Camille! She was interviewed by Channel 7 News for her participation in Woof n’treat this month! Camille, you did a wonderful job! Thank you. Camille is sitting beside her, Scooby-Doo. Scooby is a 4-year-old Treeing, Tennessee Brindle.

Scooby was residing with Camille’s son’s friend. It didn’t work out and the Scooby needed a home. Camille, very happily accepted Scooby into her life. Camille grew up in the Buffalo-Cheektowaga neighborhood. She raised three children, two boys and a girl who are now living on their own.

When asked how often do you visit the park? Camille stated as much as possible, 3 to 5 days a week. Working full-time as a medical biller and coder keeps her very busy and getting to the dog park after clocking out at 5:00 is sometimes difficult, especially with the days getting shorter. When Camille is at the park, she has a tendency to sweep, pick up toys, and fill the water balls. Camille would love to see more benches in the park as many times they are filled! Another benefit would be to have a sign before you pull into the parking lot that says “Dog Park Parking Only! This is due to the fact that in the summer people at Shelter 3 are always using the dog parking lot and there’s no place for the users of the dog park to park.

Camille would like to do some fundraisers in the park sometime. She thought maybe a picnic in the park would be fun! Camille has many hobbies. She enjoys crocheting and making blankets, hats, scarves, pumpkins and mittens. She laughs as when she brings the crocheting out to work on, Scooby-Doo lays on her lap as she works! She also enjoys cooking and eating! Camille would like others to know that she enjoys being silly, and laughing and is always trying to make the best out of life! As an afterthought, Camille was laughing as she told me when she got Scooby-Doo she would go to the Goodwill store and buy old Tickle Me Elmo dolls. They still laughed and talked and giggled. She would give it to Scooby and it would just laugh and giggle as Scooby was chewing it apart! She even sent me a video. Camille has a great sense of humor so if you see her smile and give her a tickle me Elmo giggle!!
