I would like for you to meet Bernie and his dog Zuri. Zuri is a German shepherd and just celebrated his 13th birthday this past week. Bernie and Zuri visit the dog park daily and sometimes twice daily! The two walk the footpath twice for their exercise together. He is pleased to see many different users (people and dogs!) In the park.
Bernie has been retired for 24 years now! Congratulations! Bernie and his wife consider taking care of all their dogs a joyful hobby! They reside in Lancaster and enjoy being surrounded by their adult children and grandchildren. Bernie gives Lancaster Unleashed credit for continuing to pursue Como Lake Park for this dog park.
He is very proud of his daughter Regina and son-in-law Mike as they played a big part in getting this dog park up and running. Bernie is extremely proud of his granddaughter Kaitlyn as she is the proud owner of Purely Pets, the pet store in town. Kaitlyn has sponsored Lancaster Unleashed on many occasions!
